Khnemu Studio is small scale ceramics arts facility.  The studio's mission to broaden the general public's appreciation and understanding of hand-made ceramic art and studio artists.  This is to be accomplished through classes, events, workshops, membership and residency programs.  The studio believes that it goals can be furthered by creating a mutual helping environment, and that is basis of the following programs:

Artist-in-Residence Program
Call to Clay Artists!  Khnemu Studio is excited to offer an artist-in-residence program.  The resident artist program is designed to enhance and further the educational experience of clay artists.  This opportunity is to provide work experience to pre-professional emerging artists, giving them time and facilities to develop their work, it also supports the educational and studio functions of Khnemu Studio.

Requirements:
Applicant must be at least 18 years old
Applicant must demonstrate adequate experience and knowledge in ceramics and must submit evidence of a body of work to support the application

Length of Residency:
Terms vary and applications are accepted all year long. (More summer residency positions available)

Terms of Residency:
Residents are required to perform a minimum of 12 hours of work per week.  Duties may include, greeting guests & handling sales; kiln loading; glaze making; building and equipment maintenance; and workshop assistance.

The resident will receive the following benefits:  24-hour access to studio facilities, free firing per month, teaching opportunities, free admission to workshops and studio space.  Free gallery representation in the studio gallery to qualified submitted work, to be determined upon jury process.

Applicant must be self-motivated.  The program work can be difficult and strenuous.  The studio reserves the right to discontinue the applicant residency at any time.

- Letter of request for residency, include any relevant personal information for applicant review
- At least two letters of recommendation
- At least 10 images or examples of your work
- Artist's statement or biography
- Resume
